Halloween SVG Cutting Files

I recently came across this site that has some great SVG cutting files that can be used with the ScanNCut, you can download some for free and others you have to buy.

As its nearly Halloween I thought I would post some links to some great looking  files.

Once you have downloaded them open them in SNC Canvas using the SVG tab, they may come in grouped, if so “right click and either choose ungroup, if that is not an option use divide”.

I hope you like them.

The first is a bundle and the link is Here

Cutting inside the line Scanncut.com Part 2

Sometimes when we use our ScanNCut machine to cut out printed or stamped designs, we cut directly on the line or we add a little white border, but there are times when we want to cut just inside a line.

In this video I show you how to cut inside the printed line of the free project I downloaded from scanncut.com (see part1 of the accompanying video.)

This is the project I made.

How to navigate around my Youtube Channel

Ive been contacted recently by a couple of people who have watched certain videos and then asked “how do I do” something else.

I know on both occasions Ive made videos on what you are looking for, but because I am busy I cannot always direct you to the video at that moment, so I do reply and usually suggest you look in a specific playlist on my channel.

Then it occurred to me that you may not know about my channel or playlists, you may have just stumbled upon a video which kind of related to what you want but it may not have completely helped you.

So in this video I am showing anyone who happens to find me on youtube how to navigate around my channel. I have over 200 hundred videos mostly covering topics for the Brother ScanNCut machine and Canvas software but I do also have sewing and embroidery tutorials as well.

I now have over 11,500 subscribers and have had 1.1 million views to my videos which is mind blowing to me, all I can say is a Massive Thank you to everyone who takes the time to watch, like and subscribe.

I know I am getting several hundred new subscribers a month, so I thought this video may help some of you.

Christmas Labels

I know we have only just had Halloween and Bonfire night, but this link came to me through Pinterest Recommended.

So I thought I would pass it on, these labels would be so easy to print and then scan through the ScanNCut for simple quick cute Christmas labels.

You should see two options under each label set that says “download autofill & download different info” the first option allows you to actually type in the “To & From” names, the other option is blank.

Download and save them onto your computer, print them out and scan them through your SNC and add the cutlines, Simple!

How To Sew A Loyalty Card Purse/Wallet

Over the last few weeks Ive been concentrating on showing you how to make shaped cards using ScanNCut Canvas, I still have a few more ideas which I will post over the next few weeks but this week I thought I would do a sewing project.

In this weeks video I show you how to sew this simple purse/wallet for holding all those store loyalty cards we seem to collect these days.

You only need small scraps of fabric and some kind of fastening, i.e. velcro, button, popper etc.

Free Cutting File

This free cutting file is from Miss Kate Cuttables and is available free for today only (Sunday 31st Jan 2016) So if you like it go and grab it.

This kind of thing would be easy to recreate using ScanNCut Canvas, using the offset and weld features, its only text and basic shapes but I thought as it was a cute cutting file I would post a link for anyone who wants to go and download it from their site.

Free SVG Cutting File

Miss Kate Cuttables offers a free SVG cutting file everyday, today’s free file is Nested Summer Shapes, they are generic and I thought that they may come in handy, you don’t have to nest them you could cut them as single layers and obviously resize them too.

If you go to misskatecuttables.com today they are on the home page, you will need an account but its free to set up, just add your file to your basket and checkout, once you have worked through the checkout process you will see your cutting file ready to download, the file may contain other formats.

Open Canvas and import the SVG file and once on your Canvas mat its converted into a SNC FCM file, save it in your projects and download it to use.

Heres a screen shot.
