Easter Cards

So Ive made a few more Easter cards, this time Ive made them using a free SVG cutting file from Birdscards, If you google you should be able to find the site and I found this design in the “shaped cards” section.

Ive used Papermill Linen effect white card as my base

Stampin Up designer series Paper

Stampin Up Card

The colours I’ve used are strawberry slush, costal cabana and crisp cantaloupe.

I added a little sponged inking around the edges of the bow for definition in matching colours and a little stickles glitter glue, simple but so cute I think.

All cut with ScanNCut on cut pressure 1, blade depth 5 for Papermill linen effect card, blade depth 4 for SU card and 3 for SU DS paper which is like a light weight card rather than paper.

My blade and mat are over a year old so you may want to test cut if you use the same products especially if your blade is newer.

  1. These are absolutely gorgeous cards. Can’t wait to make mine and the bunnies this weekend. I have now joined Stampin’ Up. Just waiting for kit to arrive. Glad I stocked up on the designer series papers. I also have 1 pack of each of the other ones as well. They are gorgeous as well.
Been crafting my little heart out lately and completed some awesome canvases, pages and cards. Just need to get time to update my blog and get the photos on there. I love your other little creatures too. So easy, basic and look amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. I’ve had this file sitting on my pc for a while now, made one a while back but now I’m inspired to do them again now that I have better papers to do them with. I’m still amazed at the quality of the Stampin’ Up products.I’m glad I have people visiting my blog and liking my work. It’s good to do something a little different and I did a page today that I used some new dies on and it looks great, another page down on my youngest daughters engagement. Going to do a reverse canvas on the weekend also. I loved the gentleman’s crafter canvas also. Nice to know we are doing similar things but putting our own twist on them that make unique to us.

    1. They turned out really cut, I used card for the inside coloured piece and the main part of the bow and the matching DSP as the top layer of the bow, quick and simple but nice.

    1. Hi it’s great, funny enough I just yesterday wiped over the mat with a baby wipe to refresh it again, it works on the Zig too. My daughter keeps laughing at me because I told her weeks ago they were both a year old, so every time I use both my mat and blade now, she says “are you not going to change them yet”

I keep saying no I am sticking with them both. Lol

  3. I used the zig glue on my mat yesterday and it came up a treat. Thought I was going to have to get another one. The last blade i got seems much better than the first few I went through hope this was last longer. I’ll be testing out the sig glue mat this weekend.
I’m still working on my lindt bunny it a little different to yours and I’m also working on a chick. I’ll be making some cutting files available over the next few weeks.

      1. Thank you Ashley. It’s thanks to you and a few other people that keep me inspired and I love doing something just a little different to what others are doing. It’s great to have your own twist on others.

  4. Hi Ashley

I ve seen this on birdscard on Pinterest as an svg file also other files I like on there. I’m not sure how to get svg files on Pinterest to canvas?? Would it be possible to help me please?

    Looking forward to your response

    Jane 🙂

    1. Pinterest is basically just bookmarks of web pages, so whatever site Pinterest leads you to, you will save the SVG file onto your computer or USB stick, and then either open it directly on the machine as we can do that. Ow with SVG files, or open it in canvas if you want to convert it an FCM ScanNCut file.
