So we are snowed in, I’ve baked a Victoria sponge, made rice pudding and making macaroni cheese for tea, comfort food!

  1. Looks beautiful, hope it does not cause too many problems and clears up soon. x

    1. Well I’m not moving, and won’t be tomorrow either unless there is a massive thaw overnight, but looking at it now that’s unlikely.

  2. Ashley,I have a question…. please…. I dont know if I can explain well, so I am gonna use a square for my example…. if I take two squares and push them together in canvas, and I want the line in the middle to be gone, so that it just cuts a rectangle, how do I get the line in the middle removed…. I am trying to cut a pattern piece that should be on a fold…. I have duplicated the image, and flipped it now I am trying to get it to where it would just cut around an entire piece… does that make sense…. You as my mentor, I know will have the answer…. No pressure here :-)— I am sure I saw it in a video but couldnt find what I was looking for last night…. thanks,Donna  From: aandhcrafts To: gr8mom1425@yahoo.com Sent: Thursday, January 29, 2015 5:40 AM Subject: [New post] Snow Snow Everywhere #yiv7951983501 a:hover {color:red;}#yiv7951983501 a {text-decoration:none;color:#0088cc;}#yiv7951983501 a.yiv7951983501primaryactionlink:link, #yiv7951983501 a.yiv7951983501primaryactionlink:visited {background-color:#2585B2;color:#fff;}#yiv7951983501 a.yiv7951983501primaryactionlink:hover, #yiv7951983501 a.yiv7951983501primaryactionlink:active {background-color:#11729E;color:#fff;}#yiv7951983501 WordPress.com | am2406 posted: “This was 7am this morningBy 9am it looked like thisBy noon we had thisSo we are snowed in, I’ve baked a Victoria sponge, made rice pudding and making macaroni cheese for tea, comfort food!” | |

    1. I think what you are describing is welding, so you would overlap the two shapes, select them both, go to edit, align, and align by top or bottom, so you know they will be lever.

Then while they are both still selected hit the weld icon, it’s a box that has two shapes that are overlapped, and of you hover over it, it will say weld.

Once you hit weld the middle bits where they overlapped will be gone.

      Is that what you wanted?

  3. We got hit with 18 inches on Tuesday and expecting more this weekend. My arms, shoulder and back ache from shoveling and snow blowing. To make things worse I hadn’t finished clearing a path for our oil delivery man so he wouldn’t deliver. It is now cleared though. The worst part was where the cap was for the oil tank it was above my waist and hard because we had the roof raked yesterday and that is where a lot of the snow went. Take care if you have to shovel it.

    1. Oh no, hope you are all ok. I am not doing any shovelling at all, my car is on my drive and its not moving until i can drive it off normally!

I went sledging with my daughter this afternoon, and i have to say I am far too old for throwing myself tandem down a hill on a sledge, I ache all over. My own fault I know. She enjoyed it though.

Spent some time tonight working on my February newsletter/video project, its looking cute so just need to film it next week now.

  4. Lorna Martin,
It does look very cold. Nice time to sit behind the Scan N Cut. As my friend Liz said I too would like to join you for dinner. Keep warm .
    Regards Lorna

  5. Wow, I have never seen so much snow, here in Australia its 33 degrees celsius and hot, I do remember walking to school in snow when I lived in England as a child. It looks lovely but I do hate the cold. So don’t envy you. I would love to just once have a white Christmas again though. Enjoy your lovely comfort food and stay warm

    1. My aunt and cousin are in Australia at the moment, I could have gone with them but I don’t fly. however when I woke up this morning and saw all that snow and it was still falling I did have a moment of envy!

We have more forecast so will wait and see what happens, but I’m not going anywhere so it can do what it likes.

      Roll on spring.
